Entertainment Venue Center

The Entertainment Venue Center is a new events-oriented building consisting of: Concert Hall, Rooftop Event Space, Administrative Offices, and Art Education Studios.

The exterior design inspiration blends industrial building language with a performing arts language. A pop art design is perforated into metal and wraps around areas of the building and up to create solar shading. Ceramic frit are applied to the curtain walls. Oversized signage takes inspiration from the pop art style.

Inside, the lobby is a transparent and glowing space connecting the main level with the concert balconies via a monumental stair. The concert hall has perforated wood panels for acoustical improvement as well as custom color-shifting LED lighting to add drama to the performances. For the upper levels, the office and educational level is found above the lobby with views of the museum. The highest level is an event space and roof terrace with views of Pittsburgh.
