AIA Pittsburgh presents “Perspectives”

AIA Pittsburgh is excited to introduce “Perspectives”, a new video series, inspired by the 125th anniversary of our chapter and the achievements of our community. In this series of interviews, conducted by former AIA Pittsburgh YAF Chair and Board member Jason Andrews, AIA, we learn about the personal and professional history of long-standing and accomplished members. Join us as we celebrate the rich legacy and promising future of architecture in Pittsburgh through the inspiring stories of our esteemed members. Stay tuned for more conversations to be released over the course of this year.

Our debut episode features Daniel Rothschild, FAIA, Past President of AIA Pittsburgh and founder and CEO of Rothschild Doyno Collaborative. He shares his journey of settling in Pittsburgh, finding a supportive community, establishing the Leadership Institute under the Pittsburgh Architecture Foundation, and his impactful work on the Tree of Life project. Watch the video here:

In our second episode, William Bates, FAIA, NOMA, Fellow and Past President of AIA Pittsburgh, AIA Pennsylvania, and AIA National and adjunct professor at Carnegie Mellon University shares his journey getting involved in AIA Pittsburgh, his work to revitalize Pittsburgh during a period of decline – including hosting Prince Charles during the Remaking Cities conference, his role in developing the UDream program, and his efforts to elevate minority architects at the National level.
