Fred Rogers Productions

Fred Rogers Productions’ 11,000 sq. ft. office headquarters in Pittsburgh’s Southside Works is a triumphant blend of nostalgia and modern programming. Its namesake and inspiration, the beloved media icon Fred Rogers, helped countless children explore the world around them, with special emphasis on their social-emotional learning. His impact—and the impact of Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood’s timeless wisdom is still felt today. By embracing a people-focused approach, the space reflects the joy and dedication of Fred Rogers’ namesake creative production company, which celebrates its achievements as a cultural force and a winner of many Emmy awards. The vision for the headquarters’ neighborhood concept was reinforced by creating blocks of rowhomes to create a street-like façade for use as private offices. Each home front has its own personality, front stoop, and working occupancy indicator light that mimics a porch light to indicate if its occupant is available. The headquarters seamlessly integrates with the South Side Works community. By responding with timely solutions, the result is a delightful and reflective environment that embodies the client’s core values.
