The days are getting shorter, but AIA Pittsburgh is finding ways to fit more into them! September is quickly filling up with events all around town, particularly the unveiling of the Design Pittsburgh 2013 exhibit! Design submissions will be available to view via the online digital exhibit in the next few weeks, with the physical exhibit making its debut at the Cultural District’s Gallery Crawl on September 27th! An autumn evening spent Downtown, taking in art and design… you won’t want to miss it!
September 9 – GAP Trail Photo Submissions Due: This year’s Young Architects Studio Competition is featuring the Great Allegheny Passage, and part of the exhibit displaying YASC entries will be to showcase selected photographs taken of the GAP Trail.
September 10 – YAF/YC Building Tour: Mount Lebanon High School
September 10 – AIA Pittsburgh Annual Membership Meeting: Tour SOTA Construction’s LEED Platinum headquarters while enjoying food, cocktails, and the company of your fellow AIA members.
September 16 – Design Board Submission Deadline: Design Boards for Design Pittsburgh 2013 are due at the AIA Pittsburgh office by 5 pm. Don’t be late!
September 17 – ARE Review Introductory Session: Join AIA Pittsburgh’s YAF for the first of the 2013/2014 ARE Review Sessions. Free to attend and open to all.
September 24 – ARE Review Session: Construction Documents and Services
September 25 – Women in Design Meetup: Pittsburgh’s first get-together for women in architecture and construction to talk shop.
September 27 – Design Pittsburgh on the Gallery Crawl: Come view the 2013 Design Pittsburgh exhibit, featured on the Cultural Trust Gallery Crawl! Submissions will be on view at the Cultural Trust Education Center.
