At the 2024 Design Pittsburgh Awards & Beaux Arts Ball, guests were invited to envision our city and region over the next 125 years and sketch their ideas as part of a collective mural: Pittsburgh 2050-2150.
This one-night community art project visioning our future asked participants to consider:
· What changes do you want to see in Pittsburgh’s built environment?
· What innovative features could we add that we don’t have yet?
· How can we enhance what we already love about our city?
Armed with sharpies, architects created a vision for the future of Pittsburgh. Here’s what they came up with:
“More life on the water, just like Lake Como!”

“Public spaces framed with architecture!”
