Kellner has worked in the nonprofit field her entire career, most notably spending 10 years at The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and five years with the American Diabetes Association.

Kira Kellner is AIA Pittsburgh’s new Manager, Programming and Development, replacing Rachael Kelley who left in April to become the executive director of the Housing Innovation Alliance.
Kellner brings a wealth of fundraising and event planning experience for other notable nonprofits making her a natural fit to step into this highly demanding role at AIA Pittsburgh.
In her spare time, Kellner serves as the race director of the Brentwood Firecracker 5k, one of the largest 5k races in Western Pennsylvania, which takes place on the 4th of July in Brentwood, PA.
In addition to her volunteer work Kellner loves to go hiking, camping, JEEPing, and downhill skiing in the winter. Kellner, and her husband Henry, a drafter by trade who works at ModernWall Systems, have three children: Shane (19) currently Active duty in the US Army, Destinee (18) who will be attending PSU Behrend in the fall majoring in Engineering, and Isabella (10).
As for architecture, Kellner’s favorite Pittsburgh space is the PPG Wintergarden during Light UP Night! I love the city all decked out in lights, the gingerbread houses, ice skaters in the middle of the city and the overall vibe of the holidays.
Her favorite type of architecture/design is seeing the reuse of old spaces. She loves when a building has a rich history but has been updated with a modern feel.
Contact Kira at kkellner@aiapgh.org to welcome her to the organization.
In her spare time, Kellner volunteers as race director for the Brentwood Firecracker 5K.
