A Pittsburgh native who resides in the city’s Oakland area, Smith graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in Architectural Studies. Jennifer Beck, AIA, Project Architect at Hayes Design Group Architects, was recently chosen as a recipient of the 2019 Sho-Ping Chin Women’s Leadership Summit Grant. As one of this year’s grant recipients, Jennifer will be able to attend the 2019 AIA Women’s Leadership Summit (WLS), the largest leadership event in the U.S. for women in architecture. The summit is designed to help women refine leadership skills and accelerate career growth, and takes place from September 12-14 in Minneapolis, MN.

Parva Markiw, Assoc. AIA is the newest addition to the professional staff at WTW Architects. The Iranian native earned a Masters in Architecture from Kent State University. She is currently assisting the WTW team designing a new residence hall at SUNY Polytechnic Institute in Utica, New York.
