Sarah Ludwig of Weber Murphy Fox recently obtained her professional architect’s license after passing the Architectural Registration Exam (ARE). She is now licensed to practice in New York State.
A graduate of Slippery Rock University with a Master of Science in Sustainable Systems and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Science, Sarah obtained her license in a non-traditional manner. Utilizing her collegiate schooling and her Associate Degree in Architectural Drafting and Design. Sarah learned her craft in the field working for several architectural firms.
Strada is delighted to welcome Rhonda L. Bolding, CPSM as Marketing Manager. Bolding will manage firm-wide marketing and public relations activities to support the strategic goals and vision of Strada. Bolding’s focus will include local and regional markets as well as emerging national and international growth opportunities.
Bolding’s 20 years in the A/E/C industry brings significant experience in all aspects of professional services marketing. She is also a Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM), emphasizing her commitment to professional excellence, career advancement, and an ongoing pursuit of knowledge.
Bostwick Design has relocated to the East Liberty Neighborhood of Pittsburgh. The 1,018 square foot space has enhanced technology capacity, an open studio environment, and ample meeting space. Gretchen Kurzawa AIA, says, “We chose this location so that we could easily serve several of our core clients in healthcare and higher education. We have easy access to Downtown, Oakland, and Northside as well as many of the main arteries around Pittsburgh. We are excited to be a part of this vibrant neighborhood.”
Annie Ranttila was hired by Bostwick Design as an architect. Ranttila is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Building Performance and Diagnostics at Carnegie Mellon University. Returning to academia after 7 years serving clients, she researches human health and safety outcomes related to the built environment of K-12 schools. Ranttila earned a Bachelor of Architecture from the Illinois Institute of Technology and her Master of Science in Sustainable Design from Carnegie Mellon University.
Nick Gentile was hired by Bostwick Design as a designer. Gentile is a Pittsburgh native and Yinzer through and through. He received a Bachelor of Science in Architecture at The Catholic University of America and a Master of Architecture from The Washington University in St. Louis. In his free time, he races bikes in circles and wanders the city, taking photos with heavy film cameras.
Alyssa Hamilton joins mossArchitects after graduating from Carnegie Mellon University with a Bachelor of Architecture, with a focus on fabrication, sustainability, and architectural detailing. Her work has been centered on the relationship between the natural and built environment as well as the innovative solutions that can be achieved through technological advancement.
DesignGroup has completely renovated and updated Moseley Hall, a Traditions Building on the campus of Bowling Green State University (BGSU), to be an interdisciplinary science laboratory building. Opening in August 2017, the 43,000-square-foot building will be devoted to best practices in undergraduate science education and will provide space for the biology (including anatomy and physiology), chemistry, forensics and geology departments as well as the medical laboratory science program.

Brenna Shaffer, AIA, will focus her Associate leadership on the sharing of knowledge across our firm culture, sustainable design and interior architecture, and the exploration of new and innovative materials. Brenna is currently enrolled in AIA Pittsburgh Foundation’s Leadership Institute for Emerging Professionals.
Robert Tuñón, AIA, will continue to foster the shared values and collaborative nature of the firm, providing leadership in Community Service, Storytelling, Collaborative Teamwork, and Material Application. Robert is also enrolled in the AIA Pittsburgh Foundation’s Leadership Institute.
Rothschild Doyno Collaborative congratulates Nick Rebeck on completing his Architect Registration Examination. Rebeck joined RDCollab in 2013 and has been promoted to Architect I.
Rothschild Doyno Collaborative has hired Walt Haim, Gabriel Nolle, and Michael Sweterlitsch as new team members.
Walt Haim joined RDCollab after his graduation from Virginia Tech, where he received his Masters of Architecture degree. Walt was involved with FutureHaus, a Virginia Tech design-build research project focused on factory-built modular ‘cartridge’ components.
Gabriel Nolle returns to Pittsburgh from New York City. He is a registered architect with a Masters of Architecture degree from Syracuse University. Between degrees, he also studied at Taliesin.
Michael Sweterlitsch is our newest collaborator, joining us upon completion of his Masters of Architecture degree from Kent State University. Michael previously participated in the A.C.E. program and continues his involvement as a mentor.
