Module – Defining the Future of Housing

This free event brings together leaders in the field who push the bleeding edge of housing in the US. The panel discussion will touch on the following questions: What aspects of housing will be smart in 10 years? How much will the sharing economy affect housing?Will houses really be built like cars? The event will include a panel discussion (livestreamed) as well as a networking session. The panelists represent multiple aspects of the housing industry. We have 4 panelists and 1 moderator. The following fields within the future of housing will be covered during the panel: 1. Internet of Things / smart housing devices 2. Construction / advanced manufacturing 3. Innovative real estate /financing

Learning Objectives

  • Understand ways in which the “internet of things” is affecting the built environment
  • Discuss the advanced manufacturing trends on residential construction
  • Recognize ways in which the sharing economy influences the housing industry
  • Identify key housing trends that will affect cities in the United States
