PALM is back for 2018! PALM (Promoting Advocacy and Licensure through Mentorship) is in its 3rd year as Pittsburgh’s premiere architectural mentorship program. Each PALM participant is placed in a small group with architects at different stages in their career. Each group meets three times in the fall to share experiences, advice, and skills and to discuss architectural issues. If you’re interested in participating in PALM, please fill out this short survey by August 31st. And keep an eye on the AIA calendar for this year’s kickoff event during the last week of August.
2018 AIA Upjohn Research Initiative Grants The Upjohn program funds up to six research grants of $15,000-$30,000 per recipient annually for projects completed in a 6- to 18-month period. The research should relate to architectural knowledge that can be applied within the discipline. One grant will be dedicated to design and health principles. Deadline to submit is September 1.
