Radelet McCarthy Polletta Architects and Interior Designers is pleased to announce that Stephen Winikoff, AIA has become the newest member of their firm.  Stephen is a talented architect specializing in Healthcare who utilizes his 15 years of domestic and international experience in architecture, project management, planning and design (totaling over 1M square feet and $300m of construction) to deliver innovative and creative solutions for his clients.  Winikoff also serves as First Vice President of the AIA Pittsburgh Board of Directors.

Hayes Design Group Architects (HDG) welcomes Robert L. Burlett, AIA as Project Architect. In this position, Bob is responsible for developing project parameters and schedules, directing construction document creation, coordinating bidding and construction activities, and assisting with overall project management. Bob is an experienced Architect with over 30 years of project management experience and has a Master of Architecture from The Catholic University of America in Washington D.C.

Hayes Design Group Architects also welcomes Rachel Wallace as Associate Architect.  In this position, Rachel assists the firm’s Project Architects with all aspects of projects from programming and design through construction administration. Rachel is a recent graduate of The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the Knowlton School of Architecture.

Kristy Costanzo, AIA, Project Architect at Hayes Design Group Architects, recently obtained her professional architect’s license after passing the Architectural Registration Exam (ARE) and completing the Architectural Experience Program (AXP). She is now licensed to practice in Pennsylvania. Kristy is a graduate of Kent State University with a Master of Architecture, Masters in Business Administration, and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture.

Hayes Design Group Architects is also celebrating its 25th anniversary of providing Excellence in Design combined with Exceptional Service.

In May Hayes Design Group Architects held its third annual company “Adopt-a-Landmark program.” Throughout the day, the firm volunteered at the Andrew Carnegie Free Library & Music Hall in Carnegie, PA, also known as the “Carnegie Carnegie”. HDG employees assisted staff from the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy and the Library & Music Hall with weeding, mulching, edging, and other miscellaneous landscaping, as well as installing several parking signs and plaques. HDG staff also worked on the 117 linear foot mosaic mural for the new Library Park alongside the mural’s artist, Laura Jean McLaughlin, and the Library & Music Hall’s Executive Director, Maggie Forbes.

The firm’s Adopt-a-Landmark program is focused on the important role that the architectural profession can play in honoring local Historic Landmarks to ensure their upkeep and maintenance so everyone can continue to enjoy the rich local history and culture they provide.


Barton Associates, Inc.
, a full-service consulting engineering firm located in York, State College, and Pittsburgh welcomes Tony Ricketts, PE as a Mechanical Engineer, John M. Sundy, LC as a Senior Electrical Designer, and Caitlin Pickering, PE as a Plumbing Engineer in their Pittsburgh Office.

Barton Associates, Inc. is also pleased to announce that Michael S. Rader, PE, CEM was recently promoted to President of the firm.  Michael joined Barton Associates in 1997 as a mechanical engineer and for the past three years has served as the Chief Operating Officer for the firm. He will also continue to serve as the Principal-in-Charge of the firm’s Educational market.

This past May, Desmone Architects celebrated its 60th Anniversary at the Fairmont Hotel in Downtown Pittsburgh. Over 200 guests attended the gala, which included a cocktail hour followed by dinner, dancing and music by Benny Benack. During the evening, the firm presented a $100,000 Endowment Scholarship to Charles “Luke” Desmone, AIA which will be awarded to future architecture students from his alma mater, Penn State University.

 Allen & Shariff Engineering, LLC is pleased to announce that Michael Bergen, Jr., P.E. and James Ward, P.E. have joined the Pittsburgh Office. Bergen is a Mechanical Engineer, and Ward is a Senior Mechanical Engineer.

Congratulations to Miranda Ford, AIAS recipient of the 2018 Stewart L. Brown Memorial Scholarship at Carnegie Mellon University School of Architecture.

Hancock Architecture welcomes the following team members to the firm: Mark Bibby, Sr. Architectural Technician; Megan Pettner, Summer Intern; Gordon Hancock, Construction Manager. Hancock Architecture’s various design offerings are apparent as a variety of projects are underway this summer including the Ambridge Borough Streetscape Revitalization, PNE Distribution Center Addition, and Rochester Hotel Renovations.

Rothschild Doyno Collaborative is proud to congratulate Colleen McDonough on the completion of the Architect Registration Examinations and her recent licensure. Also, we are excited to welcome our newest team members: Rebecca Baierwick joins us following the completion of her Bachelor of Architecture degree from CMU; Nadia Voynova joined us for a summer internship position last year and now joins us fulltime following the completion of her Master of Architecture degree from OSU. Victoria Yong will be joining us for the summer and will be returning to CMU in the fall to complete her studies.

Strada is pleased to welcome Terrie Brightman, RLA, ASLA to their multidisciplinary team, adding exceptional talent and depth to their Landscape Architecture group.
