The Pittsburgh Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) is thrilled to announce the appointment of Endicott “Endy” Reindl as the new Executive Director, following the departure of Michelle Fanzo. Reindl, a seasoned leader and fundraiser with a proven record of driving organizational growth, officially assumed the role on November 11, 2024.
Reindl brings a wealth of experience from his tenure at the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, where he successfully fostered donor relationships that raised over $2.9 million. His strategic vision and commitment to mission-based organizations are underscored by his previous role as Executive Director of the Westmoreland Symphony Orchestra, where he achieved notable budget gains and substantial endowment growth. With his strong background in community engagement and his ability to generate impactful connections, Reindl is uniquely positioned to lead AIA Pittsburgh into its next chapter.
“I am honored to join AIA Pittsburgh and build on the remarkable foundation Michelle Fanzo has established,” said Reindl. “This organization plays a crucial role in championing architecture and design excellence in Pittsburgh, and I am excited to work alongside our talented members to expand our community outreach, drive professional growth, and enhance our region’s architectural impact.”
Michelle Fanzo leaves behind an impressive legacy, marked by her expertise in strategic planning and advocacy. Her leadership and innovative approaches have advanced AIA Pittsburgh’s mission, bringing together architects and stakeholders across the region to address critical issues in the built environment.
“We are immensely grateful to Michelle for her dedication and transformative leadership,” said Sean Sheffler. “Endy’s vision, coupled with his deep experience in fundraising and development, will further our mission to support the architectural community and promote design excellence across Pittsburgh.”
As the AIA Pittsburgh Chapter welcomes Reindl, the organization looks forward to advancing its mission under his leadership, focusing on educational programs, community partnerships, and advocacy efforts that uplift Pittsburgh’s vibrant architectural community.
