The purpose of the PALM (Promoting Advocacy and Licensure through Mentorship) program is to create a dialogue between registered architects, aspiring architects, and architecture students regarding advocacy, career experiences, goals, and thoughts on the past and future of the profession. This program is intended to engage members at all levels of professional development and encourage the mission of AIA Pennsylvania.
Every year, groups of 4-6 people at different points in their career meet to network and create meaningful connections. All registered members are invited to an optional kick-off event. Next, smaller groups will be formed. Each group is responsible for meeting at least three times, averaging every 3-4 weeks, for at least one hour each time. These meetings will be scheduled independently among each group.
The AIA Pittsburgh Young Architects Forum is kicking off another round of AIA Pittsburgh’s PALM program this spring!
