This month, AIA National Convention will be held in Orlando April 27-29.  Just announced was former First Lady Michelle Obama as the featured keynote speaker on Thursday, April 27.  Also at A’17, AIA Pittsburgh president Jeff Murray will be casting the Chapter’s votes for national office, including Pittsburgh own Bill Bates, FAIA of Eatn’ Park Hospitality Group for the position of 2018 First Vice President/2019 President-elect.

Submit your presentation proposal for the Academy of Architecture for Justice Fall conference, exploring the value of interdisciplinary collaboration in the design of justice facilities. Deadline is April 13; the conference will be October 29-31, 2017 in Cincinnati.

Apply for the Arthur N. Tuttle Jr. Graduate Fellowship in Health Facility Planning and Design by April 20, 2017. Fellowship award(s) range from $2,000-$10,000.

Apply for the GMZ Graduate Fellowship in Health Facility Planning and Design by April 20, 2017.  Fellowship award(s) range from $2,000-$7,500.

Apply for the SLS Next Generation Scholarship by April 24, 2017. Each recipient will receive up to a $1,000 to attend the Summer Leadership Summit.

New Firm Benchmarking Tool.  AIA’s Firm Benchmarking Tool will help firms compare their data with newly available AIA Firm Survey data. It is an online interactive portal that launches with a module containing three key performance indicators of financial success—revenue per employee, profitability, and share of repeat clients.
