About:

If you are planning an office or commercial building renovation or planning for new construction, this session is for you! A federal law, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), requires all businesses and facilities to provide access and accommodations for disabled customers, clients, and members of the public. The ADA applies to all businesses that are open to the public, regardless of size. But what is the difference between the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards enforced by the Federal Government and the International Building Code (IBC) accessibility provisions enforced by the City of Pittsburgh? This session will help to clarify the confusion caused by these separate applications and further enhance your understanding of both the local and federal requirements. Register today, seating is limited!
